Such fabulous pants. Great quality and I rarely find petite pants that fit the length properly and also fit my curves at the same time. Depending on the day, I'm 5' tall with 33-35" hips, 23-25" waist. I'm a long torso, shorts legs type of body. The XS 26" inseam fit me perfectly. The length just skims the floor so I think I can totally wear both flats or heels. So happy I got both black and navy. These pants are a win!

I'm 5'2". For years, getting dressed for work meant the same routine: buy three sizes, return two, take the third to a tailor.

The women who wrote to me were even shorter. At 4'7" to 5'0", they weren't just hemming trousers. They were shopping the kids' section and still getting the proportions wrong. Nobody was designing for them at all.

So I built the range I couldn't find: four petite inseams from 24" to 30", with the rise and knee break re-cut for each one. Whatever your height in that range, one of them was drafted for you.

How do I choose the right inseam length?

Use our sizing guide! This is based on the average inseam, by height. We also have free exchanges if find you would like to go short or longer.

What if I'm between sizes - should I size up or down?

The ponte fabric has 4-way stretch, so if you're between sizes, go with your usual size. If you prefer a looser fit through the hips and thighs, size up.

Will they fit my hips and thigh areas?

YES! The 4-way ponte material holds you in, while giving you the flexibility where you need it most.

Do the pants stretch out or lose their shape throughout the day?

No. The ponte fabric bounces back all day - no saggy knees or waistband droop by 5pm.

Can I machine wash them or do they need dry cleaning?

Machine wash cold, tumble dry low. No dry cleaning needed.

What's the difference between this and a "petite" pant from Banana Republic or LOFT?

Those brands scale everything proportionally - bigger size means longer legs. We separate size from inseam completely, so your length stays the same no matter what size you pick.

What shoes do these look best with - heels, flats, or both?

BOTH! Our pants are designed so you can buy the same pair, in two different inseams so you can choose what shoes you’d like for that day.
